Oxford or Cambridge? (A question for British people)?

Question

Oxford or Cambridge? Which city has the most friendly, the warmest and the most hospitable people?

I want to learn English as a foreign language in Oxford or Cambridge, but I´m afraid to live in a city with cold and unwelcoming people.

Could you give me advice about this subject please?

I'd suggest Cambridge. I went there for a shopping trip a while back and when we stopped to look at a map within 5 seconds there was someone trying to help us. Everyone seemed pretty friendly, but saying that I've never been to Oxford so it might be nice too.



Generally though, people say that Northerners are friendlier than Southerners and as a Southerner I think there's probably some truth in it.

Oxford and Cambridge are very good cities and both have good and bad bits (more good than bad) but i think that Cambridge is better than Oxford.

i'm from Oxford, do no longer understand Cambridge, yet they're the two in the south and the North is lots friendlier. i do no longer think of Oxford has any of the characteristics you're in seek of. it is an extraordinarily small place and all of us love yanks, so which you have the convenience there.
